We are really enjoying our Everyday Math! Today the students played a matching game with a partner with dot cards to practice recognizing equal quantities in different arrangements.
What a beautiful day we had for our Annual Walk-A-Thon. Even though it poured on Thursday, we had a glorious (even though it was a little muddy in parts) sunshiny day. I'll attribute that to our singing the day before of "Oh, Mr. Sun, Sun, Mr. Golden Sun, Please shine down on me..."
The kids did a great job walking their laps and being part of the bigger GES Family. Thank you if you were able to help us count laps and set up our food table, etc. And thank you especially for your donation to our class funds. When you turn in any money, I will send home a pink thank you card (that way you'll know if your child got the money to the teacher...) that day in his or her green book bag.
Lastly, did you hear that the drone camera that was taking our twentieth year photo (while we were standing in the large 2 and 0) from the sky flew off during the event and hasn't been found yet!?! They are hoping that someone discovers its crash landing and gets it back to the owner so that he can at least get the footage off it. :-(
